Egg Production: 4 / wk
Egg Color: green, blue, rose
Origin: n/a
Heritage breed: No
Easter Eggers are a backyard favorite because of their colorful eggs. Most lay a green egg, but others will lay a bluish-green, blue and even rose-colored egg. Easter Eggers are a crossbreed (or hybrid). They cannot be considered a breed, because the offspring would not have the same characteristics as the parents. The Easter Egger’s appearance is even more varied than their egg color. Their feathers can be a combination of several colors and they may or may not have cheek muffs.
